Global Community Engagement is pleased to present V-Day Fort Myers (TVM) 2010!  As part of our efforts to fight violence against women and girls around the world, we are sponsoring a series of events during February 2010. 

The centerpiece of V-Day Fort Myers (TVM) 2010 is a production of Eve Ensler’s “The Vagina Monologues”.  There will be three performances of the play, featuring local women from SW Florida, Monday, February 15 through Wednesday, February 17 at 7:30pm at the Café Cabaret, Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre on Colonial Blvd. in Fort Myers.  There will be a VIP reception on Monday, February 15 beginning at 5:30pm at the theatre.  Our guest speaker at the reception will be Nola Theiss' Executive Director of Human Trafficking Awareness Partnership (HTAP). 

Proceeds from these performances and a silent art auction that will be open for bidding during the three days benefit Abuse Counseling and Treatment (ACT) of Fort Myers and El Nucleo de Apoyo a la Mujer (NAM), a women’s shelter in Santiago, Dominican Republic.
