Dear Friends,

Last year I volunteered in Dominican Republic aiding children with low resources. The plan was for me to help the children and make their lives better somehow. Actually, quite the opposite happened. The kids changed my perspective on life and made me mindful of the things that really matter: family and friends, love and happiness.

I promised I would go back, and I am. Next spring break I will again make the trip to Dominican Republic and contribute. My favorite thing about working with Accion Callejera is that they don't just give freebies to them. They actually empower them with tools that will make them successful in the future. For this project to continue we must fund-raise $11,000. Luckily we have a lot of help! I know you have a budget and ask that you please keep us in mind when you can donate. Anything helps and it is all tax deductible accompanied by a letter from Global Community Engagement.
