Dear Family, Friends, and Fellow Humans,
My name is Chizette Kremer, and just this year I have been given the extraordinary opportunity to be a member of Global Community Engagement, an incredible organization that travels each spring break to the Dominican Republic to help children in need. My best friend went on the trip last year, and it was his inspiring stories about making a true difference, (whether it be teaching, providing the kids with food and clothes, or even just making friends) that made me realize what an important thing volunteer service is, and how easy it is to reach out and profoundly change the life of a homeless, hungry child.
In order for us to be able to accomplish our goals, we must raise a budget of over $11,000, which we will be fundraising for during this school year. You can help too! Any donation is a step closer to us being able to help these kids, whether it is 5 dollars or 50 dollars, and all donations are tax exempt (when you donate, you will receive a letter from GCE stating this.) This is a truly important and wonderful cause, which (as I know from my best friends and fellow members’ experiences) changes the lives of some very special kids, while also teaching its participants important values of compassion, understanding, and world consciousness.
