Dear Friend,
For the past 10 years I have volunteering in Santiago, Dominican Republic during spring break through Global Community Engagement (GCE). While there I have had the opportunity to work with disadvantaged children; children that are homeless, most lacking an education and parental support. Through GCE we develop educational programs to take to the children as well as the donation of school supplies, clothes, and hygiene items.
This project is my passion—it allows me to stay connected to what is really important to me, service. It is incredible how over the years I have witnessed the impact that this project has had on the hundreds of students we have worked with, and even more so, the impact it has made in my own life. In order for this project to continue to touch lives, a budget of over $11,000 must be raised. I am asking you, friends and family for your support. Any donation would make an imprint on this budget. Please, whether it is $5 or $50, it would be for a wonderful cause. If you make a donation, you will be receiving a letter from GCE recognizing your donation as we are tax exempt.
